Diverse Congregation

We welcomed eleven new individuals into membership today -- no longer visitors! They are all "Chin" people from former Burman, now known as Myanmar. We now have regularly attending our congregation about 20 from Myanmar and between 20 and 30 from the mountains of Vietnam, Montagnards. This makes for quite a diverse congregation at First Baptist, New Bern. Both of these people groups came here as refugees fleeing persecution for their faith and freedom.
