We are excited about the events leading up to our Bicentennial Worship Celebration, which will be on May 17, 2009. We have a great heritage, but an even greater hope, in Jesus Christ. We hope that you will be inspired by the way that Christ has moved in and through this congregation and the way that we are currently responding to God's love with our own love. That reciprocal love translates into the love of neighbor in a multitude of ways here at First Baptist New Bern, and calls us to have a healthy Christlike love of self.
Visit us for worship and Sunday School, as well as any of our regular or special events. Please know that you are welcome here and we consider you called by God to be here when you arrive. It is our hope and prayer that you will encounter the goodness and love of God in a life transforming way through this faithful community of faith in Jesus Christ!

Blessings of Being a Part of First Baptist Church, New Bern, NC
Click here to view pictures of our Memorial Garden. What a blessing it is to celebrate 200 years of serving God in New Bern. We continue to grow in numbers and in faith. Each new member adds to the presence of God in our church and community and enhances the presence of God in a unique way that is ever so exciting. The beauty of a garden is greatly enhanced by a variety of colors, flowers, shrubs and pathways that all center in the faith of Jesus Christ (notice the cross and water fountain as central symbols of Jesus' presence).
